Beautiful British Columbia

One of the great perks of living on the west coast of Canada is the rain forest. Within 2 hours, anyone can escape the city to nearly pristine natural conditions where your only interruption is the gentle roar of the nearest river.

Despite the vast number of campers that use these wilderness sites, the ecosystem seems to be keeping pace despite some areas of wear and tear. Lightly tread or untouched areas team with new vegetation. Especially the ferns. If you are a fern lover, then this place is heaven for you. In fact whenever I'm here, I'm reminded of my first year University English teacher, Fern Heitkamp.
